IV Baltic Housing Conference

In April 2007 the Union of Homeowners Associations CAC has participated in the IV Baltic Housing Conference that has been organized by the Estonian Union of Co-operative Housing Associations EKYL. The management and maintenance of condominium housing buildings as well as their energy efficient renovation and refurbishment have been among the main topics of discussion. National umbrella organizations from Sweden, Finland, Russia, Bulgaria, Latvia and Estonia have shared their experiences in the field. During the conference Mr. Paul Louis Party, President of CECODHAS, has put the emphasis on the necessity to use EU structural funds for the extremely heavy task of mass renovation of existing condominiums in the new EU member states. CAC and EKYL have agreed to strengthen and develop further their institutional cooperation as national umbrella organizations.
